Transform a serving tray with ceramic
One sometimes hesitates to get rid of a surplus of ceramic. Here is a nice way to get it back and turn it into a magnificent service tray.
Material to collect
Ceramic;
Golden handles;
Masking tape;
Measuring gallon;
Pencil;
Drill with 1/4 "diamond drill bit;
linen;
Acrylic paint gold color;
Screwdriver;
Felts.
Steps
1-Glue a masking tape over the ends of the tile. With a gallon to measure, measure the distance between the end pieces to screw on the handles, so that the handle is centered. Mark the locations on the ceramic with a pencil. Do the same thing on the other side of the ceramic.2-With a diamond drill, pierce the tile, where there are pencil marks, taking care to dip the wick regularly in the water to avoid overheating the wick.
3-Once the tile is pierced, remove the ribbons to mask.
4-Using a cloth, paint the ceramic field with gold-colored acrylic paint. Apply 2 layers. Wait 30 minutes between each layer.
5-Using a screwdriver, screw in the gold handles.
6-Put felts under the tile.
