Transform a globe into a beautiful lamp

Have you ever thought about giving a second life to a globe? In a few simple steps to achieve, it will become a luminous globe in the current style.

Necessary material

Old earth globe;
Drill;
2 wood wicks in two sizes: ¼ inch and 1/8 inch;
Black chalkboard spray paint;
Erasable white pencil;
LED christmas lights running on battery.

Steps

1-Drill the globe about twenty times, randomly, alternating the size of the wick, to create two sizes of different holes.

2-Unscrew the structure of the globe and press the globe on the lid of the spray paint to hold it;

3-Paint the globe with black spray paint. The paint should be applied in a ventilated area or outdoors. Let dry 1 hour. Apply a second coat as needed.

4-Drill the base of the globe with a ¼-inch wood wick to get the wire from the lights to the LED (safe for fire since they do not give off heat). Reinstall the earth globe on its base.

5-Pass the light wire through a hole in the globe.

6-Write a word or a thought with an erasable white pencil.
