Revamp an old laminate in a monochrome frame
You may have old laminates lying around at home. I suggest a solution to revamp and modernize them with adhesive letters.Material to collect
All purpose spray paint with a white satin finish;
Old laminates;
Rigid cardboard (same size as your laminates);
Pencil;
Self-adhesive letters (foam or cardboard letters3D);
Chisel.
Steps
1-Spray one or two coats of spray paint on the laminate, which will act as a primer. The paint should be applied in a ventilated area or outdoors. Let it dry for about thirty minutes.2-To prepare the template, trace the pattern (heart, in this case) with a pencil on a stiff cardboard. Cut the template format with a chisel.
3-Place the cardboard core on the laminate and draw the outline with a pencil by pressing lightly, this will serve as a guide line.
4-Place and paste the self-adhesive letters inside the drawn heart to fill the shape.
5-Spray the laminate with the same aerosol paint by applying several thin layers (2 or 3) to even out. Allow to dry about 30 minutes between each coat.
